Coming from a lineage of distinguished Chinese medical professionals, Physician Chu I-Ta received his bachelor’s degree in Chinese Medicine from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (APE). During his housemanship in the Endocrinology division of Peking Union Medical College Hospital (R), he attended to diabetic patients using both Chinese medicine and Western medical treatments. Since returning to Singapore, Physician Chu has introduced TCM pain management for patients with chronic and acute pain due to degeneration of bones and joints, and cancer supportive care.

Physician Chu believes in cultivating a holistic approach that encompasses both Eastern and Western practices, offering an optimal blend of medical solutions for patients. He has conducted numerous public and corporate healthcare talks, workshops, and webinars alongside Western medical and other allied health professionals, receiving very positive responses.

Continuing his commitment to learning, Physician Chu is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Clinical Integration of Eastern and Western Medicine (Oncology) from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine.

Outside of his clinical practice, he serves as Secretary-General of the Singapore Chinese Physicians’ Association (SCPA), Vice-Chairman and volunteer physician in the Oncology Division of the Singapore Chung Hwa Medical Institution (SCHMI), TCM Trainer for Family Central by Fei Yue Community Services, and is a member of the TCM Experts Panel for the All Things Health content hub.
